Disciplines - Maintenance Staff

Employee labor reporting

Labor costs are a large portion of a facilities maintenance budget.  Unrecorded time for travel, inventory management and personal time can quickly add up, disrupting a maintenance schedule.  The VisionFM Employee Time Sheet makes the reporting of time easy by automatically listing all work orders, move orders, preventative maintenance and trouble ticket work assigned to the user.  Each member of the maintenance staff can quickly record their time for each task without having to open individual orders.  Maintenance staff can also record miscellaneous time such as shop time.  By having all labor recorded the maintenance manager can analyze the typical hours spent on maintenance work resulting in more accurate estimates for workload, completion time and billing rates.

The Employee Time Sheets can also act as a timecard, allowing employees to record regular and overtime hours, vacation time, personal time as well as view their total hours for the week and lieu time available.

With VisionFM's optional Web Server all forms, reports and queries are accessible through your facilities web site.  Using their web browser maintenance staff from multiple locations can easily review assigned work, print work orders, change the work status and report their hours.  All work is recorded in a central database allowing maintenance managers to analyze performance between buildings and trades.

Features

The maintenance manager can create trades used within their facility.

Multiple trades, hourly rate and tax code can be assigned to each maintenance employee.

When assigning work only employees and contractors that perform the required trade are presented.

Setup contractors and assign trades for assignment to maintenance work.

Reduce data entry time with the Employee Time Sheet form. It provides a single location for staff to report their hours for all assigned work; work orders, preventative maintenance, move orders and trouble tickets.

Maintenance Staff can select an order from their time sheet and display the order or print it, providing a single location for employees to locate all work assigned to them.

Record regular and overtime hours, overtime accumulated, overtime paid and lieu time.

The system maintains a history of all timesheets, allowing employees to access their own work history.

Record timecards for submission to the payroll department.

Benefits

Maintenance staff can easily review assigned work, print work orders and record hours in one screen, making training and support very easy.

Forecast actual time available for maintenance work by analyzing time spent on assigned work, unassigned work and absences.

Reduce data entry time by having hours and work status entered in time sheets automatically pass to the work orders.

Timesheet information can be printed or transferred electronically to the accounting department.
